He started teaching as a pupil teacher in 1972 -1973 academic session , at St Lagerian Primary school, He left there for Unilag, where he read Geography and Economics and graduated with NCE (National Certificate of Education) in 1976 He taught at Ikpomoga Grammer School at Okpella, for a brief period before heading to University of Benin in 1977, to read Bussiness Adminstration In 1982, he got a job with SCOA PLC , as a trainee manager, before going to camp for NYSC on finishing the complusory service year, Upon return from its service year, he resumed with SOCA PLC in 1984 where he eventually rose to become stock controller, for the conglomerate. In 2002, what was called diminishing was carried out, and numerous officer were asked to go. In 2003, after a brief spell as a tutor in St Gregory Secondary School Obalande in Lagos state, he joined the Sacred Heart College Agenebode, Under the Administration of Rev Fr. Godrick Shaba, as Director of studies. Eventually he was made Vice Principal (Academics), in 2004 till date.
